Sketching is a whole world. A personal visual diary, an endless space for experimentation, and one of the most effective ways to sharpen your drawing skills. In this session, we’ll meet in a café in central Reading (Nero or Black Sheep, depending on availability — all cafés are located next to each other). Participants will be informed of the exact location in advance. Using your own drink as a subject, we’ll sketch a cup on the table while learning the fundamentals of perspective, proportion and observation. Each meeting is guided by a professional artist, who will offer thoughtful advice and gentle direction to help you see more clearly and draw with confidence. Expect a calm, social atmosphere, focused practice, and the pleasure of filling your sketchbook with something meaningful — and imperfect. Bring your own sketchbook.
