In this session, we will paint a still life of pears resting on a fabric napkin, using the composition to explore the texture of cloth and its behaviour in space. This will be our first focused work with fabric — its softness, weight, and the complex geometry of folds. We will study how light moves across creases, how fabric supports the composition, and how it interacts with the organic forms of fruit. Particular attention will be given to structure, rhythm of folds, and the balance between softness and form. The class is suitable for beginners and returning students, with step-by-step guidance and individual feedback throughout.
